Services
Jackson County Emergency Services
operates as a department of Jackson County, Georgia Government. Within
this department, three interrelated divisions function to provide essential emergency services to citizens
and visitors: Emergency Medical Services (EMS); Enhanced 911
Communications (E911); and Emergency Management Agency (EMA). This department is lead by one emergency services director who
oversees operations, develops long range plans, budgets expenditures, and coordinates the diverse activities
of all divisions.
We welcome you to our site and we hope that you find it both educational and informative. We intend to educate
the public on the services that we as a department provide and we hope that the information contained here can

Emergency Medical
Services Emergency Medical Services is responsible
for the delivery of prehospital emergency care to the citizens and visitors of Jackson
County. The men and women of EMS accomplish this by the utilization of six strategically
located ambulances throughout the county staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week with EMT's and Paramedics who are dedicated to the excellent delivery of
patient care to all our patients. Read

E-911
Communications E-911 is the first point
of contact the public has when reporting emergency or non-emergency situations in the county.
Calls are answered by the dedicated and professional staff of 911 who direct the
appropriate resources to the needs of the caller based on the information gathered within the
first seconds of receiving the initial call into their new state-of-the art

Emergency Management Agency The
Emergency Management Agency is responsible for ensuring that the numerous public and private
entities in the county and all it's jurisdictions are prepared to respond to and
mitigate any man-made or natural disasters. Jackson County Rescue is a subdivision of EMA and
they are responsible for responding with EMS crews to numerous different medical calls and
