The JCCI Inmate Fire Team responds to every structural fire in Jackson County, where they serve as manpower support to every Fire Department on scene. Those departments that utilize the inmate firefighters can count them as members of their department. This lowers the ISO score and in turn helps reduce insurance cost.
We currently have eight (8) certified firefighters, led by Chief Harold Shadburn, who has served in the position of Chief since 2003.
We recently acquired this 1994 International, walk in rescue unit with only 18,000 miles.
