Emergency Medical Services (EMS) The EMS division consists of a division director, three EMS
supervisors, and thirty six full-time EMT’s and/or Paramedics. Together these employees staff and operate six
advanced life support (ALS) ambulances strategically located throughout the county. Full-time staff members
are additionally supported by a team of approximately fifty +/- part-time EMT’s and/or Paramedics to
facilitate emergency response coverage 24 hours each day, 365 days per year.
· Each ALS ambulance is staffed with a minimum of one EMT-Intermediate and one Paramedic. All of
our full-time staff members are Paramedics except for three employees (two are currently undergoing Paramedic
training). These highly trained individuals are capable of providing the most advanced emergency medical care in
the Northeast Georgia Region.
