Rich Rutherford, Chair of the 2006 Bucket Drive states the first year was a success! With a goal of $6,000 - MDA was presented a check for $8,464 on 09/04/06 at the Telethon in Atlanta from Jackson County Emergency Services! Rutherford, who has a sister and father with muscular dystrophy said this years event had a special meaning to him personally. It is reported that 17 of "Jerry's Kids" reside in Jackson County. This money will go toward clinic visits, equipment such as wheelchairs and leg braces, support groups, research, clinical trials, and camps for "Jerry's Kids."
